I was in Target tonight picking up my massive amount of Crystal Light (like I said before... it's my crack) and noticed something. I have seen it before. I have seen the ads for it. But today it pricked up something in me.

The Perfect Push Up. WTF?! What was wrong with the old fashioned, hands on the floor push ups? I do them all the time, they aren't that hard.

"Created by a former Navy SEAL!" Really? That's one lazy assed SEAL then, ain't it? I'm not a Navy SEAL, nor am I a former Navy SEAL, but as far as I understand it they have to do the old fashioned push ups. Probably on rocks with a 500 lb weight on their back, but I digress. One would think a guy who has probably done more old fashioned push ups than anyone on Earth wouldn't need a push up assitant, eh?

But I'm seeing a lot of crap in stores to enhance everything or make it easier. Like the boom chairs. Have you seen these? I never knew what the hell they were until a few months ago I got close to one to see. It's for gaming. Um... the Xbox's controller shakes. What I don't need to add to that is surround sound war noises and my ass vibrating. Wonderful! Let's bring on the flashbacks, shall we?! Seriously, that would do enough to cause a teenager to have war flashbacks from Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter! Just what we need, an unstable 13 year old in school suddenly yelling that his HUD lost contact with the base and he's out of ammo. Like I don't see enough of them in gun shops with their dads yelling, "DAD! THAT GUN WAS IN *insert video game*! ASK IF WE CAN SEE IT!"

Coffee makers that take a little cup, you put it in the machine, and it goes ahead and makes coffee from it. Was putting in a filter and dishing out the coffee grounds that hard?!

Oh! Coffee makers and blenders that use a travel mug as part of the machine. Because pouring the drink takes too much time!!

I dunno. Maybe I'm old fashioned. Maybe I'm high strung. Hell, maybe I see the value of a few extra motions and workouts without aids. But all I see in these products is more shit to throw your money away on.
