I'm not a huge movie goer. The last movie I saw in the theater was the first Spiderman, and I think that was about six years ago. So, yeah.
I'm too cheap to pay for a movie, and even when I was younger and went to movies all the time we had to smuggle in food. We got real good at it, I got to where I could smuggle in candy and a full combo meal from Burger King.
Anyway, I decided to break my streak and went to see a movie today. I actually went to see Valkyrie. And oddly, it was a really good movie. I figured it would be ok, but it was really good. Especially toward the end, it was really rather shocking.
I have to say though. Does the theater have to be that loud? I mean, I really started to regret not bringing earplugs, especially when they started shooting. There weren't many people in theater and the theater wasn't that big. They could have pushed the volume down a little bit. My hearing isn't great, I didn't need further damage to my ears. And because of past issues, my ears are really sensitive. So every time someone in the movie fired a pistol I about jumped out of my skin. Oddly, there was no problem with them shooting rifles, just the pistols. Hm.
Anyway, yeah, if you like that sort of thing, I highly reccomend going to see Valkyrie. But it is certainly a history buff's movie.
